23. helmikuuta 2025 Koiran eroahdistus ja siihen liittyvä ulvominen, voivat liittyä siihen, että kotona jossain näkymättömissä on muita koiraa pienempiä ja usein kai paljon nuorempia ja kojemattomampia eläimiä, esim rottia, hiiriä rai myyriä, jotka ovat huolissaan tutun ihmisen poissaolosta: riittävätkö ruoka ja vesi, ja entä miten on vessa järjestetty? Ja huolussaan olevat pienet eläinet nojaavat koiraan ja niiden huolen koira ilmaisisi ulvontana, joka on kenties kuin nuoren rotan tms itku, kun se on epävarma ja kenties sillä on turhan viileä olo.
Vastaavasti koiralla tarttee olla turvallista ja hyvä olla, mm riittävän lämmin eikä vaaraa liian kylmästä eikä liian kuumasta, eli jos on talvella ikkuna raollaan tai kesällä aurinko paistaa kuumasti, niin on tärkeää, ettei väärään lämpötilaan jää jumiin ja ettei siihen niin muelellään jäisi loikomaankaan vaan palaisi sinne mussä on hyvä olla. Pelkkien tyhjien seinien sijasta llisi hyvä llla jotain virikkeitä, esim puu ikkunan ulkopuolella ja sisälläkin kiva miljöö, sosiaalusesti mukava koiralle ja sille tuttu. Näin etenkin paikoissa joissa koira tykkää loikoa sekä myös jos se jonnekin ehkä jää odottamaan esim ovelle. Ja lisäksi on kai hyvä että koira tietää, miten oitkään suunnilleen ollaan poissa, ja mitä tehdä, jos paluu venyy, missä kulkee raja että milloin ilmoittaa naapureille tms ettei omistaja ole palannut niin kuln arveli tulevansa.
Ikkunan luota kylmästä ei ehkä aina tee mueli palata suoraan loikomaan lämpimälle pedille, vaan ensin koira kai kävelisi lämoimämpään, missä vaikka vanha tuttu käytävän matto tms matto, ja vasta siinä mukavamman lämoimässä sitten katselusi, että mitä tekisi, minne menisi.
